The Town Council acts as the legislative body for the community. Important duties include:
The Town Council Chairman shall be the Deputy Mayor, and shall exercise the powers, duties and obligations of the Office of Mayor during the temporary absence or temporary disability of the Mayor.
Appropriation of all funds.
Adoption of all ordinances
Hold the power to purchase, sell and/or land lease or receive gifts on behalf of the Town.
Exercise legislative oversite over boards appointed by the Town Council.
Regular Council meetings are scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.
