Electric Division Offers Full List of Renewable Energy Incentive Programs
The Wallingford Electric Division, a municipal
electric distribution facility serving the communities of Wallingford
and Northford, offers an extensive list of available funds intended
to support the installation of renewable energy equipment and
facilities to its customers. Below are the lists of programs
available for incentives.
For residential customers:
For commercial and industrial customers:

On-site distributed generation (projects that
generate electricity via solar photo voltaic, wind, fuel cells,
biomass, landfill gas and/or river flows).

Solar-thermal.
-
Geothermal.
-
Green energy certificates.
Any qualified renewable energy project completed
on or after October 9, 2009 is eligible to receive appropriate
funding from the sources described below. All renewable energy
funding available through these programs shall be on a first-come,
first-served basis and is subject to the availability of funds.
These programs are administered through, and with the assistance of,
the Connecticut Municipal Electric Energy Cooperative (CMEEC) and the
Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF). Any renewable energy program
or incentive offered by the Wallingford Electric Division is intended
to be identical to those offered by the CCEF.
The funding for these programs comes from
non-ratepayer sources and includes, but is not limited to:

CCEF funds designated for statewide use to
fund solar, thermal and geothermal projects.

Wallingford Electric’s share of CMEEC’
portion of CCEF funds designated for solar photo voltaic projects.

Wallingford Electric’s share of CMEEC’s
ongoing Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) auction proceeds
on hand at CCEF.

Wallingford Electric’s share of CMEEC’s
ongoing Independent System Operator of New England (ISO-NE) forward
capacity market proceeds. ISO-NE is the regional entity responsible
for the operation of the electric bulk power system.

Electric Division customers interested in renewable energy projects
for their homes or businesses should first review the available and
applicable offerings listed on the CCEF website at
www.ctcleanenergy.com. CCEF can also be contacted by phone at 860-563-0015. Customers who then wish to pursue a renewable energy
project should contact Michael Cassella, Director of Energy
Efficiency Services for CMEEC, at 860-425-3218.
